Over the past year, our team at Tratwo assisted Indian travellers with visa applications across more than 30 destinations — from Vietnam to Ethiopia, from Germany to Jordan. We tracked every submission date, every approval, every processing time, and the two rejections that made us look carefully at what went wrong.
Here's what the data actually showed us.
99.2% — and what it actually means
Across all tourist visa assistance cases we handled between April 2025 and March 2026, the approval rate was 99.2%.
We want to be careful about how we present that number. It doesn't mean getting a visa is easy. It doesn't mean documentation doesn't matter. It means that when applications are prepared properly — with the right documents, in the right format, submitted to the right consulate at the right time — the overwhelming majority of Indian travellers get approved.
The two rejections were both corporate visa applications, and they tell two very different stories.
The first was a Saudi Arabia corporate visa. The application was well-prepared. The rejection came during a period of heightened geopolitical tension affecting approval rates for Indian corporate applicants — a factor entirely outside the applicant's control. Saudi visa approval rates for Indian corporate applicants dropped significantly during this window. Timing a corporate visa application to a sensitive destination requires awareness of the political context, not just the documentation checklist.
The second was a US business visa for a young unmarried professional without property ownership. The US consulate's primary concern is ties to the home country — will this person return? A young unmarried professional without property has weaker demonstrated ties by conventional consular assessment. The application needed a different strategy: a stronger employer letter, evidence of financial assets, proof of ongoing projects requiring return, evidence of previous international travel with a clean return record. With the right preparation, this application would have had a strong chance.
Neither rejection was a paperwork error. Both were avoidable with the right guidance at the strategy level.
Where Indians are actually going
Vietnam led the list. More tourist visa assistance requests for Vietnam than for Japan, Singapore, Australia, or anywhere in Europe. Vietnam offers extraordinary value — direct flights from Mumbai, Delhi, and Bangalore, visa processing averaging just 4 days, and a food and culture experience that competes with destinations twice the price.
UAE was second. What the data shows that general travel statistics don't is the split between business and leisure: a significant portion of our UAE assistance was tourist category — people going for holidays, not work.
Singapore was third. Despite requiring a visa for Indian passport holders, Singapore remains the most frictionless first international destination for Indian travellers.
The Africa finding. Visa assistance requests for African destinations — Ethiopia, Tanzania, Morocco, Kenya, Nigeria, Algeria — confirmed something we'd been noticing anecdotally for two years. Indian corporate travel to East Africa and North Africa is growing faster than most travel companies have noticed. Indian companies have significant presence across sub-Saharan and East Africa — infrastructure, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, technology. The visa assistance demand follows that footprint.
The processing time reality

We have seen clients miss departure dates because of Schengen processing times. Not because their applications were weak. Not because they applied late by any reasonable definition. Starting your Germany visa application 6 weeks before travel is not cautious. It is the minimum. For Australia, 8 weeks is the floor.
The one thing most applicants get wrong
The single most common mistake we saw was not missing documents or incorrect forms. It was timing.
Applicants consistently underestimated the gap between when they could submit an application and when they actually needed to. They accounted for processing time but not for appointment availability. At peak travel seasons — December, April, summer — consulate appointment slots for Schengen visas book out 3 to 4 weeks in advance. That's 3 to 4 weeks before your processing clock even starts.
For a Germany visa in December: 3–4 weeks to get an appointment, then 24 working days processing. You need to begin 10 weeks before your travel date. Most people start 5 weeks out and are surprised when it doesn't work.
The fix is simple: treat visa processing as the first step in trip planning, not the last. Book your appointment before you book your flights.

The data tells a consistent story. Visa rejections for Indian travellers are rare when applications are properly prepared. Processing times are predictable when you know where to look. The destinations Indian travellers want to visit are increasingly accessible.
